We hold several events each year to build community, celebrate accomplishments, enjoy student performances, and feast on delicious food. Our students and parents look forward to these events every year!
The TMA community celebrates the advent of fall every year with our Backyard Bash, a fun-filled event featuring a variety of activities for the whole family. Event sponsorship is available.
Early Childhood families embark on a family trip for a fun fall activity. Locations visited include Fossil Rim, the Dallas Aquarium, the Perot Museum, the Dallas Arboretum, and Cedar Hill State Park.
Each fall, Elementary students conduct research on an important person of historical significance. The students dress up as their historical figure and present their report to the class. What a fun way to learn history!
This is TMA’s main fundraiser with funds going to support school-wide programs and projects for both students and teachers.
Upper Elementary students volunteer several times a year, putting into practice lessons about giving back to the community. Days of Service include volunteering their time to help others at the Tarrant Area Food Bank, Mission Arlington, local nursing homes, and in our own community.
In the spring of each year, Elementary students showcase the work accomplished in their Drama Enrichment class with a dramatic performance.
3rd through 6th level Elementary students attend special trips each year. 3rd and 4th level students visit Camp Thurman for 2 school days in the spring, while 5th and 6th level students take a week-long trip to one of several camps in Texas and Arkansas
A TMA family favorite, Spring Thing is something everyone looks forward to! Join us for a celebration of art, culture, and student exploration.
Our primary spring fundraiser continues the celebration of community, food, and entertainment, with the addition of student art as auction items. This even happens because of the wonderful parent volunteers who devote time, energy, and creativity. A live auction completes a wonderful evening of celebration, giving, and community building.
The milestone of the completion of another year of learning for all students is celebrated in May at our Stepping Up Ceremony after a wonderful music performance completed by our students. Community members also participate in election of representatives to the Board of Trustees.
Each May, 5th and 6th level students produce and perform a multi-act play in Latin. Students are responsible for all phases of production and serve on project teams responsible for Art, Technology, Commercials, and Marketing.
