TMA Adheres to the Highest Levels of Accreditation Available
TMA has met the exacting accreditation standards of the American Montessori Society since 1994, and the regional accreditation standards of Cognia since 2007. Additionally, all of our programs through age 6 are licensed by Texas Health and Human Services.
The school has sought to measure the quality of its educational program against national standards as well. In 1999, TMA was recognized by the U.S. Department of Education as a National Blue Ribbon School, the only Montessori school in the country to receive the award that year.

Unlike the term “Montessori,” which is not trademarked or regulated, accreditation through the American Montessori Society verifies that a school meets rigorous standards for Montessori practice, teacher preparation, governance, student outcomes, and continuous improvement. The accreditation process involves extensive self-study, documentation, and peer review by experienced Montessori educators.
