Students enjoy exploring our 13‑acre learning campus, where learning extends well beyond the classroom walls.
Importantly, safety is a top priority. Our campus is fully enclosed by an 8‑foot security fence, providing families with peace of mind. As a result, students are able to explore innovative and purpose‑driven learning spaces safely and confidently, both indoors and outdoors.
Innovative Classrooms
TMA’s Montessori classrooms offer children a multi‑age learning community and rich, multisensory experiences. Through hands‑on, concrete materials, students explore concepts in meaningful and engaging ways.
Because each Early Childhood and Elementary classroom spans a three‑year age range, teachers draw from a comprehensive Montessori curriculum. In turn, they personalize learning based on careful observation of each child. This approach promotes self‑paced, self‑initiated learning while encouraging children to seek guidance from peers and collaborate within their learning community.
In addition, students participate in caring for classroom pets, plants, and their shared environment. Through these daily responsibilities, children naturally develop empathy, leadership, and mentoring skills.
Library
The TMA Library is a welcoming space that supports curiosity, imagination, and a love of reading. With more than 7,000 loan items, our collection offers something for every member of the school community.
Elementary students visit the library weekly as part of their learning experience. During these visits, they choose books, explore topics of interest, and develop responsible borrowing habits. Additionally, families are encouraged to check out books together, strengthening the connection between school and home.
As students mature, Upper Elementary learners access the library more independently. They use the space for research, project work, and personal reading, building confidence, critical thinking skills, and academic independence.
Outdoor Classroom & Wildscape
Our outdoor classroom is one of the highlights of the TMA experience. Maria Montessori believed deeply in the importance of connecting children with the natural world; therefore, outdoor learning is intentionally woven into each student’s day.
Beyond individual classroom courtyards and movement education, TMA features a 5‑acre Wildscape. Here, students explore trails, engage in guided outdoor learning, and care for animals as part of their daily rhythm.
As students spend time outdoors, they experience the natural world firsthand. They tend gardens, harvest vegetables, collect eggs from our chickens, and learn how our pig contributes to the composting process. Together, these experiences nurture responsibility, curiosity, and respect for the environment.
