Drop off and Pick Up for 2021-22

Due to the higher level of community spread of COVID-19 in Texas, we have taken extra steps to create a safe environment for students, parents, and TMA staff. To that end, all programs will utilize carline for drop off and pick up, including Extended Day.

Teachers or staff members are responsible for ensuring the safety of your children, so please do not distract them during this time. Also, please model grace and courtesy by entering at the end of the carline, pulling up to the pavilion and waiting for a teacher to open the car door. Teachers and staff are not able to buckle children in due to COVID-19 concerns.

Infants, Toddler, and Lower Elementary students will enter through the exterior classroom doors to limit the use of our hallways. Early Childhood and Upper Elementary students will enter classrooms via the main hallway. Parents will not be allowed in the building unless it is an emergency to reduce the number of people coming into contact with other students and our staff.

Health screenings for infectious illness and symptoms noted below should be conducted by parents before arriving each day. We encourage parents to follow and we will follow the CDC COVID-19 School Symptom Screening Flowchart for evaluating a student with symptoms of infectious illness.

• Fever of 100.4° F or higher, now or in the preceding 24 hours (or would have, but have used fever reducing medicine)
• Cough (for students with chronic cough due to allergies or asthma, a change in their cough from baseline)
• Difficulty breathing (for students with asthma, a change from their baseline breathing)
• New onset of severe headache, especially with a fever
• New loss of taste or smell
• Sore throat
• Diarrhea or vomiting
• Known close contact with a person who is lab-confirmed to have COVID-19

Staff and students will wash their hands with soap and water upon entering their class/building.

All children will be picked up through carline. A staff member will escort them from the classroom to the car.

Infant

Infants should be dropped off and picked up at the classroom courtyard entrance. Drop off occurs between 8:15-8:45 am. Pick up occurs between 3:15-3:30 pm for school day students. If preferred, parents may park and bring the child to the courtyard entrance. Please see the chart for those attending Before Care or Extended Day.

Toddler

Toddlers should be dropped off and picked up through carline at the classroom courtyard entrance. Drop off occurs between 8:15-8:45 am. Pick up occurs between 11:15-11:30 am for half day students and 3:15-3:30 pm for full day students. If preferred, parents may park and walk with the child to the courtyard entrance. Early Childhood

Early Childhood carline takes place at the south pavilion and students will enter the building through the south main hallway entrance. Drop off occurs between 8:15-8:30 am. Pick up occurs between 11:15-11:30 am for half day students and 3:15-3:30 pm for full day students. Please see the chart for those attending Before Care or Extended Day.

Elementary

Elementary carline takes place at the north pavilion. Lower Elementary students will enter through the classroom courtyard entrance and Upper Elementary students will enter through the north main hallway entrance. Drop off occurs between 8:15-8:30 am and pick up occurs between 3:15-3:30 pm. Please see the chart for those attending Before Care or Extended Day. 

Before Care/Extended Day

Please use the chart below to determine the location for drop off and pick up for each program. If you arrive at the courtyard entrance and the teacher does not come out, please call the front office and we will let the teacher know that you have arrived. If dropping off or picking up at the front door, please ring the doorbell and a staff member will meet you.
