4 Easy Steps to Admission

Our admissions team will be there for you through the entire process to answer your questions and provide all the information you need so your family can make an informed decision about whether TMA is the right choice for your child and your family. We understand that choosing the right school is an extremely important decision and we will be here to guide you through the decision-making process.

Step 1

Visit TMA

Visiting TMA will provide the opportunity for you to observe students engaged in their daily work cycle. The visit typically lasts 1-1.5 hours and will be scheduled weekday mornings at 9:00 or 10:00 am.

Early Childhood applicants will spend a half to a full day in the classroom. Elementary applicants will attend classes for 3 days.

Step 3

Meet with Head of School

During the 1½ hour meeting, “fit and match” between the family’s expectations for their child and TMA’s vision is explored and information about the classroom evaluation is discussed (if applicable). The $300 Application Fee is due at the time of this appointment.

Step 4

Complete Enrollment Paperwork

Upon acceptance to TMA, the enrollment process begins with a contract being offered by the Head of School. Some enrollment paperwork is online while others are filled out and signed by hand. Upon receipt of a signed contract, the Application Fee becomes non-refundable. Once all enrollment paperwork is signed and returned, along with the first tuition payment within two weeks, your enrollment is complete.

Our enrollment policy is that no child shall be denied admission to The Montessori Academy on the basis of race, gender, color, religion, or national origin.

The following priorities are observed in determining admission:

  • Classroom space availability
  • Currently enrolled students
  • Siblings of currently enrolled students
  • Balancing of ages and genders in each classroom
  • Transfers from other Montessori schools
  • Date of application
  • Student evaluation

If classes are full, prospective students will be placed on a waiting list. Returning students will be given priority over new students on the waiting list. The Head of School makes the final decision regarding student enrollment and class placement. Parents will be notified regarding their child's admission status and class placement.

From a Former TMA Parent

"Having moved to a different school, state, and system, I can see what an amazing education my child received at TMA. If my family was in Texas my children would immediately attend!

TMA taught my kids a lot more than just academics - it taught them to respect others and challenge themselves."
